Weekend #2 in our fully booked December. This weekend, my wife’s friend came over to stay, unfortunately, this was not helped by the weather which decided the best way to welcome someone to London is to throw water on their head.

In other news, I managed to try out the DIY recipe from Pret-a-Manger for Malaysian Chicken soup. I have to say it really was quite good. I should however point out that this is not advocating for or against the shop. At the very least I now have a curry paste recipe to tinker with. Now that I think about it, it might also be a good base for making a chicken ramen in a tribute to Wagamama. I’ll have a think about that.

In more topical news, I got my latest issue of VSJ… which had the same fate afforded it as every copy I have had for the past 8 months… it was put of the stack of the “To read eventually” list. Maybe I’ll start carving into them this week. Given it had an article on Silverlight, I might actually make it.

Tasks for today:

  • Learn flash – to create demos of architectures
  • Survive the torrent of meetings – to stop demos of architectures
  • Book leave…
